Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting a customer Service Advisor on behalf of a global LED lighting manufacturer offering bespoke lighting solutions. The company supplies a wide range of LED products for commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public‑sector environments, focusing on quality, innovation, and sustainable lighting. The key responsibilities of this role as a Customer Service Advisor : Process sales orders accurately using the in‑house system. Prepare commercial invoices and arrange transport for Ireland and international shipments. Handle inbound calls from wholesalers, contractors, end users, and external sales staff, providing information on stock, pricing, product details, ETAs, and general enquiries. Support with customer escalations and help resolve issues promptly. Communicate daily with Production and Warehouse teams regarding stock levels and dispatch of goods. Liaise with the Technical team to obtain product information and assist with technical queries. Work closely with a dedicated BDM and build strong working relationships across the business. Assist the Accounts team with customer account queries and returns. Support the Project Team with quotations when required. Provide updates and reports to the Customer Service Manager. Qualifications and skills of a Customer Service Advisor Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, ideally within a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality. Ability to work independently with a proactive, flexible, “can‑do” attitude. Reliable team player who supports colleagues and contributes positively to the department. Excellent communication skills, especially over the telephone. Strong relationship‑building skills across customers, sales teams, and internal departments. Good planning, organisation, and time‑management abilities. Competent with Microsoft Office and database systems; experience with Oracle NetSuite is an advantage. Able to remain resilient and professional when handling challenging situations or customer issues. Quick thinker who can offer suitable product alternatives when required.
