Senior Estimator – Flooring Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Job Type: Permanent Reporting to: Directors About the Company: Netwerk Adviseurs is a well‑established flooring contractor with over 30 years of experience supplying high‑quality flooring and ceramic tiling across the UK. The company offers a wide range of products, including carpets, vinyl, luxury vinyl tiles, timber, laminate, ceramic and stone tiles, slip‑resistant vinyl, and sports flooring. It serves commercial, healthcare, education, retail, leisure and residential markets, and prides itself on long‑term partnerships, competitive pricing and outstanding aftercare. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced Estimator to join our commercial team. You will develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for a variety of flooring projects—from luxury developments to large‑scale refurbishments. The role requires close collaboration with project teams to secure bids and support the delivery of high‑quality flooring solutions. Key Responsibilities Commercial reporting Assist with procurement processes Collect pricing elements to form tender sums Identify potential business opportunities within project scopes Supervise bid activities and deliver status reports to stakeholders Complete quantity take‑offs from drawings for accurate material ordering Review and measure quantities from electronic and paper‑based drawings Establish and implement pre‑construction cost budgets Gather and organise preliminary workbooks with operations leads Collaborate with Directors and trainees to share expertise Manage preparation of multiple tenders simultaneously (size and complexity permitting) Compile comprehensive BOQ and pricing documents aligned with specifications Prepare compliant tender submissions to secure new contracts Prepare precise cost estimates for flooring projects, delivering competitive pricing Conduct thorough analysis of technical specifications Participate in tender adjudication ensuring decisions meet approval limits and objectives Key Skills Analytical thinking Strong negotiation capabilities Efficient time management Advanced numerical skills with commercial insight Teamwork and mentorship of junior staff Deep understanding of construction practices, regulations and cost factors Excellent written and verbal communication, detail‑oriented Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Callidus) Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) What We're Looking For At least 5 years’ experience as an Estimator with a reputable flooring contractor Proven track record in soft flooring or ceramic tiling Experience using Callidus or similar estimating software Why Join?
