Senior Estimator Civil EngineeringSalary: From £50,000 (depending on experience)Location: WarringtonEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentWork Location: Currently building a new office, offering hybrid work (2 days from home, 3 days onsite)About the RoleAs a Senior Estimator, you will play a vital role in the pre‑construction phase of our civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for analysing tender documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, and contributing to successful bid submissions. This key position requires attention to detail, industry expertise, and a proactive approach. You will work collaboratively with the commercial and delivery teams to ensure a seamless handover from tender to execution.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects.Review and assess tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.Identify risks and opportunities within the project scope.Collaborate with commercial, planning, and delivery teams to ensure consistency in pricing and methodology.Attend pre‑tender and post‑tender meetings when required.Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.Prepare bills of quantities (BoQs), pricing schedules, and supporting tender documentation.Support value engineering initiatives to ensure cost efficiency and innovation.RequirementsProven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway, Conquest, or equivalent).Strong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Self‑motivated with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.Sound knowledge of infrastructure, drainage, earthworks, and highways projects.ExperiencePrevious experience as a Health & Safety Officer: 3 years (preferred).Licences / Certifications (Preferred)CSCS CardLevel 6 Health & Safety QualificationFull UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicleWhy Join UsYou will be joining a large, fast‑growing company that offers clear career pathways and structured training programmes to support your professional development.
