OverviewWe currently have an opportunity for a Finished Goods Operator at our Crisp Malt, Great Ryburgh location. At Richardson International, we are dedicated to agriculture and have over 165 years of experience with more than 3500 employees across the UK, Europe, the US and Canada.Job purpose: Reporting to the Finished Goods Manager; the ideal candidate will work effectively in a team or independently, communicate well, take responsibility for their work area and production requirements, maintain high attention to detail and work under pressure to meet process timings and quality requirements. Experience in a production environment and the ability to work shifts is preferred. A FLT certificate is not essential as training will be provided. Applicants must be physically fit due to manual operations. The role may also support the site Hygiene team as required. Scheduling operates on day shifts within a rotating pattern between 06:00 and 22:00.Location and scope: Richardson’s UK operations include oat milling, malting, animal feed and ingredient processing, operating under Richardson Oat Milling, Crisp Malt, EDME and Micronized Food Products (MFP). This role supports the site’s maltings and related production activities.ResponsibilitiesComply with company policies and training received.Maintain Health & Safety for self and colleagues by following Safe Systems of Work, using correct PPE, and reporting accidents, near misses and hazards.Keep the workplace maintained to acceptable standards to reduce risk of hazards.Operate plant and equipment safely and correctly to deliver operational efficiencies.Support other areas of the business as needed to meet operational requirements.Raise and report plant defects using the CMMS.Support engineering activities to minimise production downtime.Carry out routine inspections of plants or equipment as requested.Carry out hygiene tasks across the site to maintain standards.Operate FLT to move stock between production and warehouse and for loading vehicles.Operate malt handling, bagging and crushing plant equipment.Use site stock control label and scanning PDA systems.Complete production records and report maintenance and safety issues.General ResponsibilitiesCommit to equal opportunities, diversity and customer care in line with guidelines.Continuously assess personal performance and knowledge for improvement.Support management with site visits and experience days for Maltings, Finished Goods and Sales & Marketing teams.Assist with site audits and inspections by external agencies, Environmental Agency, HSE and customers as required.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety directives; report concerns to your line manager or Group Health and Safety Manager.Ensure you are fully trained and aware of all company policies and procedures.Promote the company and team positively.Essential Qualities and BehavioursCommitment to Finished Goods/Warehouse processes and departmental improvement.Passion for the brand, purpose and values with interest in Maltings.Self-motivated and commercially driven to meet KPIs and targets.Enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to learn.Resilient, adaptable to change and able to learn from mistakes.Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering team spirit.Proven problem solver with the ability to mitigate risk and propose solutions, and know when to seek help.Essential Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceSafety awareness and quality-focused problem solving.Flexible approach to working hours.Confident in using computer-based maintenance systems and Microsoft Office.Full UK driving license.DesirableExperience in Maltings.Familiarity with SCADA control systems.FLT license.Interested candidates should click the Apply icon to apply online.Location information, job alerts and related postings are available on the company page. #J-18808-Ljbffr
