Position Summary
As a Quality Inspection Technician / Goods Inward Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of incoming materials and components. Working within a high-reliability environment, you will safeguard product quality and support continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspection of incoming goods and components against technical drawings, specifications, and purchase orders.
- Verify compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards, ensuring traceability and documentation accuracy.
- Release conforming materials into stock. Ensure segregation and control of non-conforming materials.
- Identify and document non-conformances; support Material Review Board (MRB) processes as required.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions. Support supplier feedback activities.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to audit readiness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and quality functions.
- Operate inspection tools and equipment with precision and care.
- Uphold safety, compliance, and quality standards in all inspection activities.
- Support Stores and Goods In departments as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a quality inspection role within aerospace, defence, or high-reliability manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Experience in testing, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools.

- Demonstrates urgency and initiative in problem-solving and task execution.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
Other Requirements
- Must be eligible for SC (Security Check) clearance.
- Occasional travel to other sites/ supplier sites may be required.
- CI/Lean certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, CQI) desirable but not essential.
