Early years Practitioner - Kingsleigh Primary School Part‑time Early Years Teaching Assistant required to start January 2026. Monday to Friday from 08:30 am to 01:00 pm (22.5 hours), Term Time Plus Inset Days – 39 Working Weeks. Permanent. Grade 3 – SCP 4‑6. Full Time Equivalent Salary £25,185‑£25,989 (£13.05‑£13.47 per hour). Actual salary £13,099 (£25,185 pro‑rata). This is an exciting opportunity at Kingsleigh Primary School to join our Early Years setting and work in our Preschool each morning. Our Early Years outdoor area has recently had an amazing play trail installed. Our Early Years leader works across preschool and our reception classes to ensure the children have fantastic progressive learning opportunities. Role will involve Working in our Preschool supporting children from age 3 upwards Initiating individual play or play and interactions between children and their peers Ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children Engaging in reading stories, teaching songs, and facilitating crafts Helping children with personal needs and managing conflicts Preparing teaching materials, setting up activities and organising classrooms and outdoor areas We are looking for someone who Has a Level 3 Early Years childcare qualification Has previous experience of working with children in a school or preschool environment Brings a flexible, adaptable approach and is committed to supporting every pupil Is active, enthusiastic and full of positive energy Is passionate about inspiring and engaging learners, with creative ideas to support individual engagement and progress Is patient and caring Is eager to grow professionally and embrace development opportunities to meet the needs of every child Will be proud to be part of our school and uphold our ethos and values Is enthusiastic about working as part of a team at all levels: year group, phase and school Always puts children at the heart of everything they do What we can offer A large, friendly and enthusiastic staff team where everyone works together and is genuinely proud of what we’ve created.
