Product Development Engineer

Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer looking to recruit a Product Development Engineer to work within their R&D Department on a permanent basis. The Main Purpose of the role is to develop their existing product whilst liaising with existing and new customers to ensure compliance with their ISO standards. Responsibilities Partner with senior engineers to support new business opportunities. Work directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into clear technical requirements. Support the design and development of new products, ensuring they meet performance and durability targets. Visit customer sites and collaborate with teams across multiple regions. Coordinate product testing and validation activities. Analyse test results, investigate issues, and recommend improvements. Communicate effectively with internal teams across Quality, Sales, Production, and Testing. Participate in benchmarking and cost‑reduction projects. Essential Requirements A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Experience in a technical engineering environment. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes. CAD knowledge and the ability to interpret technical results. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. Confidence working in cross‑functional and international environments. Strong organisational and self‑management skills.
