Join to apply for the Community Administrative Support role at Whittington Health. We are looking for a motivated individual to join the Central Booking Service within the Whittington Community Patients Access Service. In this role you will participate in our innovative support and administration team, helping to manage referrals, book and reschedule appointments, and process outcomes for patients. The post holder will register, source and upload documents for new patients, book and reschedule appointments, and work with RIO and Medway electronic patient records. You must always provide excellent customer care in line with Trust Customer Care Standards. Key responsibilities include: Line manage junior staff Provide a high quality, helpful and courteous response to members of the public, service users and representatives of other departments or agencies by telephone, showing sensitivity to their feelings and respecting their wishes wherever possible. Communicate effectively with callers, managing expectations and ensuring patients are happy with the responses they receive. Gather key information from referrers and patients assisting the service. Carry out an initial triage of patients. Manage appointments and provide advice and information about community clinical services, including eligibility criteria. Register new patients onto electronic patient record systems such as RIO, Medway and other relevant patient systems. Administer processes for establishing efficient clinics: booking interpreters and transport, confirming attendances, organising appointment letter print runs, sending out letters, processing outcome and discharge forms, cancelling and rescheduling clinics. Support band 4 Administrators in referral management and appointment booking processes, including timely saving of referrals received via the Service Generic. Work as part of a team, assist colleagues during workload peaks, and provide cover during absences. The position may require working a shift pattern between 8 am and 8 pm, Monday to Sunday including Bank Holidays. The role also involves travelling across Whittington Health sites, working in any of the Health Centres in Haringey or Islington as required.
