The International Growth Centre (IGC) Director of Communications and Partnerships Salary from £74,224 to £94,861 pa inclusive of London allowance Are you a strategic leader with a passion for global development and economic growth? The International Growth Centre (IGC), based at the London School of Economics and in partnership with the University of Oxford, is seeking an exceptional Communications and Partnerships Director to join its Senior Management Team. The IGC works with policymakers in developing countries to promote inclusive and sustainable growth through cutting‑edge research and policy engagement. With country teams across Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East, and a global network of world‑leading researchers, we aim to influence policy and drive impact on the ground. As Communications And Partnerships Director, You Will Provide Vision And Leadership For IGC’s Global Communications And Partnerships Strategy. Position IGC as a thought leader in economic growth and development through strategic messaging, media engagement, and high‑impact storytelling. Drive brand visibility and engagement with global policy, academic, and donor audiences. Act as a senior spokesperson for IGC at high‑level international events and in Tier 1 media. Lead the development of IGC’s global partnerships strategy, cultivating relationships with senior stakeholders. Play a key role in IGC’s leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, financial sustainability, and organisational development. The successful candidate will have Significant experience in senior communications leadership within complex, international environments. A proven track record of securing Tier 1 media coverage and building influential partnerships. Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and relationship‑building skills. Experience in fundraising and partnership development, ideally in a research, university, or NGO context. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex research into compelling messages. Masters’ degree in economics, public policy/ administration, development economics or equivalent experience. Why join us?
