Stakeholder Engagement Manager 12 month contract 500pd Inside IR35 - Hybrid working 2 days per week onsite Our government client is developing a cross-government strategy to tackle legacy IT such as the outdated systems that create risk, inefficiency and block innovation. They are focusing on identifying critical legacy technologies, prioritising remediation, and setting clear policies to prevent future technical debt. This includes creating common standards, securing funding models, and supporting departments to modernise systems in a way that improves resilience, sustainability and user experience. For this role in particular, you will be part of a team that are looking to pilot several innovative approaches to dealing with tech problems across the UK public. As part of that, the team needs public sector organisations to sign to be part of case studies. For this role you would need to sell the idea of being part of the pilots to government departments, arms and bodies, local authorities and NHS. Skills / Background Support the development of the UK Government's public sector legacy strategy by providing expert advice on the approach to working with suppliers to address the UK public sectors legacy challenge. Lead on engagement with our suppliers to identify and plan their contributions to remediating legacy IT in the UK public sect Work with other commercial colleges across central government to identify and develop new commercial approaches to legacy IT remediation. Working with stakeholders to promote the work and improve engagement. Designing and implementing the project's stakeholder engagement processes and schedule, e.g. group check-ins, 1:1s, and being the escalation point for issues. Providing reporting and tracking on stakeholder engagement to the project team and owning a forward look of upcoming engagements. You will have: Experience in establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships, to credibly engage with, influence and gain the confidence of stakeholders. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with an ability to operate successfully in a political or complex environment. Demonstrable ability to drive forward engagement plans, providing leadership across a team experience in developing viable solutions to address stakeholder needs. Experience working with colleagues at all levels to communicate a compelling view of change and engage them in its development and delivery. Friendly and personable in a fast paced environment follow up on leads and build networks. Excellent communications or sales type experience, someone who can craft emails and collateral for communication campaigns that can be sent out to public sector orgs.
