With styleThe Financial Controller’s role is to oversee the day-to-day operations in the finance department and will report directly to the CFO.This role will be based at our Head Office in Islington and will be a Hybrid role that will consist of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure the company’s ledgers accurately reflect the financial position of the projects and company.Manage month end reporting timetable - ensure the finance function meets all reporting deadlines.Review monthly payroll reports and prepare corresponding general ledger postings.Manage and support the project accountants in completion of monthly project cost reporting.Manage cash forecasting/reporting processPreparation of consolidated financial statements and management accounts maintaining compliance with UK GAAP/statutory requirements.Preparation of monthly management reportManage the year end audit process and act as the key point of contact with auditors / tax advisorsManage and review VAT and CIS returnsManage preparation of budgets and forecasts.Provide support to CFO and Commercial Director in delivery of Board reportsLead, mentor, and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified finance professionalsAssist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls and complianceProvision of Ad hoc analysisExcel – Intermediate/AdvancedExperienced user of Finance/Banking systemsExperience in Organisations with a Project based business modelEffective communicator capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including board-level.Experience with MS Dynamics Business CentralKnowledge of construction industry helpfulBenefitsCompetitive Maternity, Adoption & Paternity Pay schemeMedical Cover (Most pre-existing conditions are covered) – Dependent on role levelCompetitive holiday allowances, starting with 25 + bank holidays and going up to 29 days + Bank holidays (dependant on length of service), Day off on your birthday also includedCompetitive pension scheme to help you for when you retireLife Assurance (Paying 4* your salary)Relevant professional membership fees paid and continued support with your professional growth and Learning.Generous Staff referral scheme, paying up to £3,500The opportunity to save up to 25% on your bike via the Cycle to work schemeDiscounts on 100's of retailers and GymsFurther Information About the RoleKindly be aware that this advertisement for our job vacancy may not encompass all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the role described.
