The Role – ASD Teacher

As the ASD Teacher, you will be working closely with a small group of pupils aged 5–9, supporting them with their social, emotional, and academic development within a mainstream primary school environment. Your role will involve planning and delivering tailored interventions, creating individualised learning plans, and working collaboratively with class teachers and support staff to ensure each pupil can access learning successfully. You will need to be patient, nurturing, and adaptable, with a strong understanding of autism and a commitment to inclusive education. Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families are key to succeeding in this role.
