Day Rate: £550-£600 (all in)
Contract: 3 months initially, with potential extension to 6 months
Start: Immediate

I'm supporting a leading consultancy partner who requires Procurement Specialists to join their team on a major programme of work. This is an immediate-start contract role focused on managing complex procurement processes within regulated and high-value environments. The successful candidates will help keep procurement activities on track, ensure programme milestones are met, and provide commercial support throughout the tendering and evaluation process.

You'll work client-side within a fast-paced, high-visibility environment, supporting the procurement of packages across electrical transmission, data centres, LDES/BESS, and similar large-scale infrastructure. The role requires strong commercial judgement, excellent organisation, and the ability to coordinate suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to drive progress.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement activities and keep the programme aligned with deadlines and milestones.
Ensure appropriate resources are in place to support each stage of the procurement lifecycle.
Coordinate supplier queries and collate client team responses, ensuring swift turnaround and issue resolution.
Support evaluation of supplier proposals, commercial assessments, and technical clarifications.
Prepare reports and presentation materials for senior leadership and Steering Committee meetings.
Identify, develop, and recommend negotiation strategies with suppliers.
Lead or support supplier negotiations as required.
Prepare structured feedback materials to suppliers post-evaluation.

Skills & Experience Required

5-8 years' experience in procurement or commercial roles within construction, infrastructure, energy, electrical transmission, data centres, or BESS/LDES programmes.
Strong understanding of procurement governance and end-to-end tendering processes.
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage high volumes of supplier interactions.
Excellent organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
Confident preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and supplier management experience.
Ability to start immediately and commit to 2-3 days per week onsite in Embankment.
