OverviewThe Paramedic Learning Facilitator supports sectors to deliver the best possible learning experiences for learners and mentors/practice educators within PES Operations. This role is suited to individuals with a strong background in supporting learners and a passion for improving learner experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesReport to the Sector Manager as part of the sector management team, supporting, evaluating and improving learner and mentor/practice educator experience.Analyse learner experiences and activities using data, provide assurance of quality and develop action plans to enable delivery of consistent, highly valued learner programmes.Spend 70% of the time working operational shifts with identified learners on a double‑crewed ambulance (DCA). Work closely with rostering teams and the sector management team to plan shifts.Protect the remaining 30% of time (non‑operational) to support individual and sector‑based learning activities, working in partnership with local sector and workforce development teams.Qualifications and ExperienceSuitable candidates will be qualified to degree level as a paramedic and have experience supporting learners as a practice educator/mentor. Candidates must have completed a relevant mentoring learner module. Ideally, candidates will hold or be working toward relevant teaching/learning qualifications at the point of application; these will be provided post‑appointment where appropriate.About North West Ambulance Service NHS TrustNorth West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365‑day a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport. Our highly skilled staff deliver life‑saving care to patients in the community, take people to hospital or a place of care, and provide non‑emergency patient transport services. Additionally, we work to ensure public safety in the event of a major incident and deliver the NHS 111 service.Application ProcessApplications will be shortlisted against the relevant criteria in the person specification.
