About This Role As a customer-facing Cloud Solutions Architect (Infrastructure), you will join our field team to deliver world‑class technical solutions to customers and prospects. Your work will directly enable customers to scale their operations and achieve their goals by adopting Astronomer’s products. This pre‑sales–oriented role will involve some travel and focus on the East Coast time zone. Comfort and flexibility with working and traveling within this time zone are essential to ensure effective collaboration and drive customer success. What You Get To Do Implement Astronomer’s software and services in the core of some of the world’s largest businesses and organizations. Guide our largest and most complex customers in their Apache Airflow journeys. Act as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product to ensure that the broader solution around the platform is solving pain points and bringing value to customers. What You Bring To The Role 4+ years of experience in a data infrastructure role or equivalent. Strong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred). Proficiency in Python/Go. Good understanding of network complexities and architectures. Versatile terminal and CLI user, as this will be a hands‑on role, often without access to a GUI. Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems. Experience with complex SaaS infrastructure operating at scale. Experience with at least one major cloud provider API/tooling. Cloud‑native data architecture experience. Strong customer‑facing skills. Strong oral and written communication skills – able to explain complex technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders succinctly. Bonus Points If You Have 1+ year in a customer‑facing role. Prior experience using or administering Apache Airflow, Autosys, UC4, Temporal, Dagster, or Prefect. Enterprise data experience with or in regulated environments. Experience with scripting/automation, specifically infra (Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, etc.). Experience with ElasticSearch/Prometheus/Vault. At Astronomer, we value diversity.
