We are seeking a proactive and experienced Risk and Change Manager in Newcastle. The Risk and Change Manager will lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks, while managing change control processes across large-scale EPC projects. This role is on a one-year contract based outside of IR35.OverviewRole summary and context provided in the paragraph above.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain comprehensive risk registers for EPC projectsFacilitate risk workshops with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risksQuantify risk impact and probability using qualitative and quantitative methodsMonitor risk mitigation plans and escalate critical risks to senior leadershipIntegrate risk management into project planning and decision-making processesChange ManagementEstablish and manage a robust change control process across all project phasesEvaluate change requests for scope, cost, schedule, and contractual impactCoordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to assess feasibilityMaintain a change log and ensure timely approvals and documentationLiaise with clients and subcontractors to negotiate and communicate change impactsGovernance & ReportingPrepare regular risk and change reports for internal and external stakeholdersSupport audits and compliance reviews related to risk and change processesEnsure alignment with corporate risk frameworks and project controls standardsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or related disciplineMinimum 5 years’ experience in risk and change management within EPC or infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of project lifecycle, contract management, and commercial implicationsProficiency in risk tools (e.g., @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis) and change control systemsExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsAPM, PMI, or PRINCE2 certificationExperience with NEC or FIDIC contract frameworksFamiliarity with digital project management platforms (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SharePoint)Ability to work under pressure and manage competing prioritiesSeniorMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractLocation: Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom #J-18808-Ljbffr
