Role : Technical Documentation Lead About KX KX is a global leader in real-time data analytics and time-series database technology, empowering organizations to make smarter, faster decisions. Built on kdb+, the world’s fastest time-series database, KX delivers high-performance analytics and data management solutions that power innovation across finance, manufacturing, and IoT industries. Our mission is simple: to accelerate the future of data-driven decision-making. Role Overview As the Technical Documentation Lead, you will lead by doing — setting strategy while remaining hands‑on with the tools, workflows, and publishing systems that power KX’s Docs‑as‑Code ecosystem. You’ll mentor a team of technical writers and collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver world‑class documentation that accelerates user adoption and deepens product understanding. You’ll also drive the modernization of our documentation infrastructure, ensuring our authoring and publishing workflows reflect modern software engineering practices — version control, automation, and structured content design — to scale content delivery with precision and impact. Key Responsibilities Act as a player‑coach: Balance strategic leadership with hands‑on contributions in writing, tooling, and publishing workflows. Develop and execute a comprehensive technical writing strategy for KX’s suite of data and analytics products. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of technical writers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Partner with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to create and maintain clear, concise, and user‑focused documentation — including API guides, tutorials, FAQs, and user manuals. Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of our documentation platforms — from roadmap and consolidation strategy to release management and operational excellence. Ensure technical content effectively communicates complex concepts to audiences ranging from developers to business users. Collaborate with developer experience and product design teams to integrate documentation seamlessly into the product experience. Drive adoption of documentation standards, style guides, and tools to ensure consistency and quality across all materials. Analyze user feedback, product usage data, and industry trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead the adoption of innovative documentation technologies such as interactive content, video tutorials, and AI‑driven support tools. Required Skills & Experience years of experience in technical writing, with + years in a leadership role — preferably within the data or analytics domain. Strong understanding of developer ecosystems, data platforms, and analytics technologies (experience with APIs, SDKs, or distributed systems a plus). Proficiency in modern documentation tools (Markdown, Git, VS Code, MadCap Flare) and methodologies (Docs‑as‑Code, DITA, structured content). Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence senior stakeholders. A passion for making complex technologies accessible and intuitive for diverse audiences. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience). Our DNA – How We Work at KX We’re Data‑Driven, Naturally Curious, and All‑In. At KX, we believe great things happen when talented people bring curiosity, courage, and collaboration to solving complex problems. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
