Female Personal Assistant/Support Worker Ref: ES/SF/9-25

We are looking for a friendly reliable Female Personal Assistant to support an independent-minded mid‑60‑year‑old female in the Strathaven area. You would be required to provide one‑to‑one care and assistance within their home, at a day centre and in the community, including attending to personal care and participation in social activities to maintain and increase independence. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as: Driving to appointments, social groups and community activities Moving and assisting—pushing a manual wheelchair, using a Sara Steady, etc. Supporting with preparing meals and healthy snacks Supporting with exercise and physiotherapy, ensuring safety at all times At times supporting personal care needs (toileting, bowel movements, etc.) Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living What are we looking for? A confident driver is desirable but not essential, with a full clean UK licence as you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle. Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage the service user to be involved in activities suited to their needs. Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home. Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Hours of Work We expect the hours of work to be approx. 2.5–3 hrs a day Monday – Friday (with a degree of flexibility depending on the needs of the service user). Occasional weekends and evenings may be required – to be discussed at interview.
