Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon We wish to appoint a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, with an interest in General Oral, Maxillofacial Surgery and Trauma, and a subspecialty interest in Skin Cancer management. Job Summary You will undertake your clinical commitments across Bay at three sites and take part in the consultant on call rota. It is envisaged that the post holder will develop a subspecialty interest complementary to the existing consultants. Main Duties Participate in a general consultant on call rota, with a commitment to undertake a weekend morning trauma list during your on‑call weekend. The rota is 1:4 for this vacancy. Close working relationships with ENT colleagues in the MDT Head and Neck cancer service and with Clinical Nurse Specialists linked to the Regional Head and Neck Cancer Centre at Royal Preston Hospital. About the Trust We operate from three main hospitals – Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal – and a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital, GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre. All provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day‑case and inpatient surgery, with additional local outreach services.
