We are a fast‑growing and well‑established asbestos consultancy that offers professional advice and technical support across a wide range of asbestos disciplines. We are actively seeking an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join our busy laboratory team in the West Midlands region. Responsibilities Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory. Preparing samples for analysis. Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content. Reporting analytical findings. Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples. Typing certificates of analysis and performing other general laboratory duties as required. Liaising with clients and staff. Qualifications & Experience Must have attained the Asbestos P401 certificate. Significant experience working within a laboratory environment and in the asbestos industry. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office package. Ability to analyse and report on the fibre content of samples submitted by clients. Attributes In general, the successful post‑holder will be flexible, competent, focused, have good attention to detail and be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team while managing time effectively.
