We're seeking a patient, creative, and dedicated teacher to support a young person with complex needs in a post-16 setting. This is a unique opportunity to combine academic learning with life skills development and make a real difference. Responsibilities Deliver engaging lessons in maths, literacy and practical skills tailored to the student's abilities. Support independence and life skills, including personal care and self-care routines, preparing simple food and drinks safely, social skills such as ordering in cafés, asking for help, and navigating familiar community spaces. Plan physical and sensory activities to help the student stay regulated and engaged. Provide focused, patient support, responding to questions and reassurance needs throughout the day. Qualifications Qualified teacher with SEN or post-16 experience. Strong patience, adaptability and creativity. Ability to make learning meaningful, enjoyable and confidence-building. Understanding of strategies for students with sensory sensitivities, epilepsy or visual impairments. Work within a supportive, innovative team.
