We are seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to grow our client's presence across the Midlands Join a dynamic company where you will be responsible for winning new business, nurturing existing accounts, and delivering profitable growth within your assigned area1. Position: Business Development Manager (BDM) Location: Midlands, Remote Focus: Groundworks & Drainage Supplies Your Mission As the BDM, you will be the face of the client, meeting customers face-to-face to understand their operations and identify how we can add value5. Your primary goals will be: New Business: Conduct pre-appointed calls and on-site meetings to convert potential prospects into active trading customers6. Account Growth: Manage existing customers to increase their gross profit and grow their "share of wallet" by identifying product usage gaps and upsell opportunities7. Target Delivery: Achieve agreed weekly and monthly KPIs for customer visits, new opportunities, and consistent sales revenue and gross profit targets for your area8. Collaboration: Work closely with the area sales team, sharing intelligence and leads to maximize overall sales performance. Administration: Maintain 100% accuracy and timely updates in the CRM system with customer insights and opportunity. We are looking for a practical problem-solver who is commercially minded and thrives on consultative selling. Relationship Builder: A strong communicator who builds rapport easily and presents clearly. Self-Disciplined: Organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently across an assigned area. Target Focused: Skilled at managing a sales pipeline, prioritizing opportunities, and consistently delivering against targets. Analytical: Possesses analytical ability and takes ownership of both customer challenges and internal actions.
