The case load is across the acute medical, surgical, respiratory & cardiac wards including the Intensive Care Unit. The post holder is responsible for allocating work to and for supervising the work of others. Main duties of the job Responsibility for providing the specialised assessment and treatment of acute medical conditions including patients with COPD, neurological disorders, cardiology related conditions, Parkinson’s Disease, age related conditions, falls, End of Life, complex social circumstances and surgical patients such as post abdominal surgeries. Responsible for the evaluation of treatment and quality of care to patients in your own case load and of patients you have delegated to others e.g. junior staff, students.
