London based - Hybrid (3 days a week in the office).Engineering Manager – RoleAs an Engineering Manager you will work hand in hand with the Product Manager to lead and empower the engineering and QA team within your Business Unit to deliver high-impact, safe, and effective software for the UK health system. This role bridges the gap between product ambition and technical execution, ensuring sustainable delivery aligned with clinical and regulatory realities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead engineering delivery - against product roadmap, driving excellent technical execution from the engineersPartner with multiple stakeholders - Product, QA, DevOps, and senior management team to align roadmaps and execution plansBe hands-on when needed - system architecture and solving complex technical issuesManage a growing team - by conducting effective 1:1s, coach engineers, lead hiring and onboarding, and manage a career development frameworkAgile/lean delivery practices - adapted to regulated or safety-critical environmentsIntroduce best engineering & delivery practices - improve and report on velocity, release cadence, defect rate, and other metricsChampion continuous improvement - lead retros, root cause analysis, and quality initiatives to reduce bugs, unblock teams, and increase predictabilityRequirementsWe want to hear from you if you have experience in:Experience managing full stack engineering teams in a regulated or mission-critical domain (e.g. healthtech, fintech)Strong familiarity with modern web/mobile software development and delivery practicesProven track record of enabling product-aligned delivery in fast-moving or high-complexity environmentsExperience working in or with regulated systems or clinical pathways is a plusExperience managing delivery in multiple complex health systemsProven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through change, ambiguity, or growthAn opinionated but humble voice in the room - someone who improves how we work without needing controlEvidence of thoughtful delivery leadership in constrained environmentsPassion for improving public health and understanding the real-world consequences of software decisionsQuality & ComplianceSkin Analytics manufactures medical devices and complies with ISO standards 13485 and 27001. As part of your employment, you will be assigned Quality Management System (QMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS).
