Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The RoleYou’ll take responsibility for running medium‑sized projects, leading client meetings, and ensuring successful coordination of mechanical engineering services from concept to completion.Key responsibilities include:Preparing plans, specifications, and schedules for worksProducing reports to support design concepts and compliance with relevant standardsLiaising with others in the design team to ensure coordination and qualityInspecting installations, reviewing progress, quality, and performance testingSupporting clients and project teams regarding operation and ongoing maintenanceWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience in mechanical design across multiple project types and sectorsStrong technical knowledge of building services design and relevant industry standardsCommercially aware and confident in a client‑facing roleOrganised, proactive, and able to manage competing prioritiesAt least 3‑4 years’ experience within a UK consultancy environmentIdeally chartered or working towards chartered status, with evidence of continued professional developmentQualificationsDegree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)Membership of a recognised industry body such as CIBSE or the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (preferred)Knowledge of AutoCAD, SBEM, Revit/Navisworks, IES, and BREEAM principles beneficialFull‑time, permanent position • Onsite role based in Stanmore, North West London • Up to £70,000 (depending on experience) • Benefits after probation include: Private Healthcare, Salary Sacrifice Pension and Death in Service InsuranceWe’re partnering with a well‑established building services consultancy in North West London that’s looking to expand its design team with a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected, technically focused consultancy where you’ll play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of building services projects across a range of sectors. #J-18808-Ljbffr
