Job Description This role: Work with defence sector businesses we are currently supporting, including Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), Submarine Development Agency, Atomic Weapons Establishment and Rolls Royce. Support clients in developing, implementing and optimising procurement and funding strategies for greener, sustainable outcomes to meet Net‑Zero targets. Qualifications To be an attractive candidate for our defence and security sector business, you will possess: Ability to attain UK MoD Security Clearance – British Nationals only need to apply. Degree, MBA or equivalent experience (advantageous). Experience with government Greenbook business case development. Experience working in the defence and/or public infrastructure sector, managing transactions/projects in a public sector delivery setting. Ability to write HMT Green Book Business Case across all five dimensions. Familiarity with HMT Green Book Business Case economic dimensions. Knowledge of economic benefit assessment, including social value, community benefits and low‑carbon transition. Appreciation of relevant UK policy guidance. Experience with government departmental governance processes for HMT Green Book Business Case approvals. Additional Experience Broader experience in renewable / clean energy, decarbonisation, transport, water services or government services. PPP/PFI experience, especially PFI handback. Effective management experience in a multi‑stakeholder environment. Demonstrable capability as an influencer within commercial / procurement environments, with the flair to leverage opportunities and grow client relationships as a trusted advisor. Robust analytical skills, adaptability and teamwork in a growing business unit. Natural gravitas in client dealings, with a making the difference mindset and an enquiring mind‑set. Ability to prepare, define and lead bid proposals, working closely with Senior Management and the wider Turner & Townsend team.
