Job Description Kanadevia Inova is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager (Mechanical) to serve as the on‑site technical authority for Category 4 & 5 service works. This leadership role ensures all mechanical maintenance, inspection, and service activities meet customer requirements, technical specifications, industry standards, and contractual timelines. The Maintenance Manager drives QHSE excellence, guides field teams, and strengthens our position as a trusted technical partner. Key Responsibilities Lead detailed inspections and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with mechanical, quality, and safety standards. Serve as the primary on‑site technical authority and customer‑facing expert for mechanical matters. Identify, report, and help resolve mechanical deviations or issues impacting performance or scope. Provide expert direction on dismantling, assembly, installation, and maintenance tasks. Ensure all mechanical works align with technical specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and contractual requirements. Mentor and develop field service teams in mechanical best practices and safe working methods. Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Account Managers, Technical Services, BL WtX, and Pools to coordinate work execution. Support a performance culture built on safety, quality, and teamwork. Drive improvements to maintenance processes, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness. Contribute to continuous improvement and technical development initiatives across service operations. Enforce strict adherence to QHSE standards through inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance records, inspection reports, time sheets, and incident logs. Support audits, customer reviews, and internal compliance processes. Plan and execute mechanical service and project activities safely, on time, and on budget using both direct and subcontracted teams. Represent the company professionally on‑site, ensuring exceptional customer engagement and satisfaction. Apply deep mechanical knowledge of solid‑fuelled power plant technology. Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosis, and maintenance on grate and combustion equipment. Support tendering and cost modelling by estimating manpower and technical requirements. Qualifications & Experience Higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field. Mid‑to‑senior level experience in mechanical maintenance, field service, or operations—ideally within Power Plants, Waste‑to‑Energy, or industrial facilities. Proven experience in hands‑on mechanical inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance management. Familiarity with matrix organisations and digital field service/maintenance management tools. Fluent in the local language and English; additional languages are a plus. Personal Attributes Strong QHSE mindset with unwavering commitment to safe working practices. Customer‑focused, proactive, and adaptable in demanding site environments. Technically strong with excellent judgement and problem‑solving ability. Effective leader with strong communication and mentoring skills. Willingness to travel regularly within the designated region. Additional Information Salary: £52,000‑£62,000 per annum d.o.e.
