A London insurer is looking for a DBA to support and maintain the organisation’s data infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, integrity, and security of all database and reporting systems. Roles & Responsibilities Manage and maintain organisational databases to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance. Monitor and maintain database access, permissions, and security controls. Ensure database backups are functioning correctly and perform ad hoc backups and restores as required. Support database releases, including running deployment scripts and contributing to continuous improvement of deployment processes. Required Competencies Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with ETL processes and tools. Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure. Experience maintaining online reporting tools such as Power BI. Proficiency in PowerShell for task automation and system management. Excellent Transact-SQL (T‑SQL) skills. Relationship Skills Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across IT, Finance, Underwriting, Business Solutions, and Operations.
