**Job Title**: Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)

**Hybrid Model**: 3-4 days per week in Central London (Zone 1)

**Contract Length**: Initial 6-months

My client, an internationally respected financial organisation HQ’d in Central London, require a **Senior SQL DBA** to use their expertise and take ownership of a major SQL Server Estate.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Act as SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)
- Implementation, maintenance, remediation, and troubleshooting within the MS SQL Server estate
- Assist with resolving technical issues, standards and procedures of SQL Server
- Ensure continuous improvement to the MS SQL Server estate
- Financial background (banking / hedge funds etc.) is essential
- Previous experience as SQL DBA
- In-Depth knowledge and understanding, and practical experience of all aspects of MS SQL Server 2012/2014/2017/2019 (from DBA perspective)
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2008 R2
- Good knowledge of Storage / Networking from DBA perspective
- Expert understanding of SQL & database lifecycle
