Customer Assistant

OverviewAs a Customer Team Member, you'll be part of a friendly team that's dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re‑stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.What you’ll doFriendly and thoughtful service – put customers first in everything you do: respond to queries, champion Co‑op products and Membership, and do all you can to deliver a great shopping experience.Work together to make everyone’s day better – support your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and are all as they should be.Help introduce new products and services – make changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together.Support your local community – get involved in all kinds of activities and events.A genuine care for the needs of customers and membersGreat people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.A positive approach to change and problem solving.The flexibility to work a range of different shifts.Pay and ContractPay: £12.60 per hourContract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part timeWorking pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview.BenefitsFull, paid training provided.
