Shifts: Monday – Saturday, 5 days per week, earlies, lates and long days (8am-4pm, 12pm-9pm, 7:30am-9pm)

We are looking for an Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join our Operating Theatres Department at The Princess Grace Hospital currently rated "Good" by the CQC. The theatres across our facilities provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advanced equipment and technology is second to none. We work with World Class Surgeons and the latest innovative technology and equipment including Da Vinci Surgical system and have performed over 500 robotic procedures with 2 Davinci robots currently.

The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the leading multidisciplinary private hospitals in London. The seven theatres at the Princess Grace provide a vibrant, exciting, and professional environment where the advanced equipment and technology is second to none including a hybrid theatre, a robotic surgery suite and 3 laminar flow theatres for orthopaedic surgery.

The theatre team comprises of Consultants and Practitioners who have vast experience and knowledge across a range of specialties. There are many complex surgeries carried out by world-class surgeons, including Ortho, Robotics and Urology, General, Gynae, Breast and Spinal.

What You Will Do
  • Work as part of a team ensuring a high standard of nursing care and safety of patients within the theatre department, utilising evidence-based practice.
  • Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
  • Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
  • Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults are reported to the Theatre Coordinator immediately.

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
  • Current HCPC Registration or NMC Registration/NMC pin
  • Experience working in an Operating Theatre as an Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
