Role: Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner
Location: The Lister Hospital
Hours: Permanent. Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Saturday, 3 Long days, 7:30am-9:00pm

We are looking for a Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join our Operating Theatre department at The Lister Hospital. The Lister Hospital has been offering world-class healthcare and treatment in the heart of Chelsea in London for over 30 years and has received an 'Outstanding' rating from the CQC. We have 4 Theatres, specialising in Orthopaedics, Spinal, Gynaecology, IVF, Neurology, ENT, Thoracic.
What will you do:
- Working as part of a team ensuring a high standard of nursing care and safety of patients within the theatre department, utilising evidence-based practice.
- Supporting the Theatre Team and mentoring junior members of staff.
- Setting up theatres and organising theatre lists.
- Preparing patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
- Participating fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
- Ensuring all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Co-ordinator immediately.

What you will bring:
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
- Current HCPC or NMC Registration / NMC pin.
- Experienced Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and confident to support the theatre team.
- Able to work as part of a team.
