Reference: DD252133_042 Vacancy: 1 Job title: SAP ABAP CPI Integration Specialist Location: Leicester/ Client Location Salary: GBP 55000 to GBP 65000 per annum Published Date: 04 November 2025 Closing Date: 03 December 2025 Main Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain OData services using SAP NetWeaver Gateway. Perform OData model creation, entity definition, and service registration. Enhance standard OData services to extend business functionality. Ensure proper performance tuning and error handling in OData services. Develop and maintain Core Data Services (CDS) Views for analytical and transactional use cases. Implement CDS annotations for UI and analytical reporting. Integrate CDS views with OData services, Fiori/UI5 applications, and external systems. Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and technical architects to translate requirements into technical designs. Participate in all phases of integration project lifecycle — design, build, testing, go‑live, and support. Monitor and maintain integration performance, security, and error logs. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, interface catalogs, and deployment guides. Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment] Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP and Integration Development. 2–4 years of strong experience in SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration). Experience in SAP PI/PO, Gateway/OData, and Integration Suite. SAP Certification in CPI or ABAP Development preferred. Design, develop, and maintain iFlows in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) to integrate SAP and third‑party systems. Develop integrations involving OData, SOAP, REST, IDoc, and RFC interfaces. Consume external APIs and web services within iFlows for real‑time and batch data exchange. Implement data transformations and mappings using Groovy scripts, XSLT, and JavaScript. Troubleshoot and resolve end‑to‑end integration issues, including message monitoring and error handling. Perform ABAP RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) development and maintenance. Create and enhance custom ABAP programs, function modules, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits. Optimize ABAP code performance and ensure best practices in ABAP on HANA development. Support data migration, interface testing, and code deployment activities. The candidate must have strong expertise in SAP ABAP CPI Integration, covering end‑to‑end development and support activities. Proven experience in SAP ABAP Development and Support, including the creation and maintenance of RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows). Hands‑on experience in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), including iFlow design, adapter configuration, message mappings, and integration troubleshooting. Proficiency in SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData service development, involving service creation, enhancement, and maintenance. Practical experience with SAP PI/PO for integration design, interface mappings, and system monitoring. Strong knowledge in Core Data Services (CDS) Views development for analytical and transactional reporting. Demonstrated experience in SAP Integration Projects involving both on‑premise and cloud‑based systems. Hands‑on experience in Groovy scripting and JavaScript within SAP CPI for custom logic and data transformations. Good understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including API Management and SAP Event Mesh for event‑driven integrations. Familiarity with integrations involving SAP SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, or SAP Cloud for Customer (C4C) solutions. Experience working in an SAP S/4HANA environment with strong knowledge of ABAP on HANA optimization techniques such as CDS Views, AMDP, and code pushdown. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies with the ability to work collaboratively in iterative development cycles. Understanding of integration security concepts, including OAuth2, SAML, and digital certificates, ensuring secure data exchange across systems.
