Contracts Manager FIA Tech is the leading technology provider to the exchange traded derivatives industry. Owned by a consortium of thirteen leading clearing firms and the Futures Industry Association (FIA), FIA Tech is committed to serving the industry and launching innovative solutions to improve market infrastructure across the listed and cleared derivatives industry. Location: Greater London, United Kingdom Role Overview: As the Contracts Manager, you will oversee the lifecycle of contracts, coordinating across various departments from contract initiation through execution, renewals, and close‑out. You will be responsible for administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or partners. You will work with the sales, operations, product and finance teams to structure contracts that align with business goals while complying with company policy, government regulations, legal standards, and best practices. You will play a critical role in establishing predictable, repeatable, and scalable contract management processes at FIA Tech and setting the foundation for the organization to scale efficiently while maintaining a posture of compliance and promoting alignment with best practices. What we’re looking for: We’re seeking an experienced professional who is detail-oriented, highly organized, yet curious. We’re looking for someone who is ready to dive into why things work or how they could work better. We think someone with a strong interest in contract management or vendor oversight will thrive in this role. You don’t need to be an attorney – we’re looking for someone who’s interested in contracts, compliance, and how business operations work. Your key responsibilities are organized into three complementary areas: • Ensure consistency in how key contractual topics (e.g., liability, indemnification, SLAs, termination, data use rights) are addressed in proposal and contract language. • Standardize, manage and update approved terms, boilerplate language and fallback positions for contract terms and conditions for a variety of form agreements (e.g. NDAs, service agreements, vendor contracts, licensing agreements). • Proactively identify areas where contract language can be improved or tailored to align with evolving business practices, legal risk thresholds, or regulatory changes. • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of standard contract templates and playbooks. • Maintain a centralized repository of contractual terms and boilerplate language. Implementing Contracting Workflows • Serve as a liaison with internal teams (product, finance, strategy, revenue, operations, etc.) as required to ensure contract negotiations align with business goals and risk tolerance. • Coordinate internal reviews and approvals for sensitive compliance content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and legal soundness before submission. • Ensure timely tracking of key contractual milestones such as renewals, expirations, and compliance requirements. • Monitor performance and enforce contractual obligations in coordination with relevant teams. • Prepare reports on process mapping and compliance activities, summarizing progress, key findings, and potential risks. Coordinating Commercial Diligence and RFPs • Identify contract‑related risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies. • Translate technical and regulatory information into clear, client‑facing language tailored to specific proposal requirements. • Develop standardized, comprehensive and accurate responses to compliance, regulatory, and due diligence inquiries for RFPs, RFIs, and vendor questionnaires. • Track and manage standard responses to frequently asked compliance and due diligence questions, ensuring they are regularly updated to reflect current policies, certifications, and business practices. • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance‑related content in proposal responses and support audits or follow‑up inquiries from prospective clients when needed. You’ll be a great fit if you: Communicate complex concepts clearly: You can translate interviews and observations into repeatable procedures, roles, and next steps. You are comfortable speaking to stakeholders with varying degrees of technical skill. Work well with cross‑functional teams: You’ll interact with various internal stakeholders, technical and non‑technical, to understand their requirements and workflows related to compliance and contract management. You’ll interact in a variety of modes, from interviews, review of documentation, meeting participation, or job shadowing. Are proactive and self‑motivated: You thrive when you need to manage progress toward multiple goals effectively. You take the initiative and can work independently. You can prioritize tasks, while being adaptable to shifting needs and deadlines. Enjoy organizing and coordinating activities: You enjoy turning messy or undefined processes into clear, repeatable workflows. You understand how work gets done, breaking down activity into decision points, dependencies and responsibilities. You can keep the big picture in mind and stay focused on key details. Have strong problem‑solving abilities: You enjoy solving problems and making sense of complex situations. You like to dig into the “why” behind the way things are done. You ask questions like ‘what if,’ ‘how else,’ and ‘why like that’ when encountering a new idea or situation. Understand and manage contracts with confidence: You can read, draft, and interpret contract terms with clarity, and are skilled in negotiating with vendors, clients, and partners while balancing risk and business needs. You bring strong commercial awareness and understanding of how contracts support broader company goals and financial outcomes. Bring relevant experience and technical fluency: You have a background in business, law, supply chain, or operations, with 3–5 years of experience in contract management or a related field. Experience in a regulated industry and familiarity with data privacy and security requirements in contracts would be a plus. You know your way around tools like Salesforce, Jira, Monday, and are a savvy user of Microsoft Office tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
