We are seeking a highly experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in drilling operations to oversee and manage contractual obligations across a range of upstream projects. This role is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of drilling contracts, rig operations, and vendor negotiations, and can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. This is an initial 3 month contract Inside IR35. This role is based in London. Key Responsibilities Review, draft, and negotiate contracts related to drilling services, equipment, and logistics Ensure compliance with contractual terms and regulatory requirements Liaise with drilling engineers, procurement teams, and legal advisors to align contract strategy with operational needs Manage contract lifecycle from initiation to close-out, including amendments and renewals Monitor contractor performance and resolve disputes or claims Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams Maintain accurate records and contract documentation  Required Experience Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the oil & gas or energy sector Hands-on background in drilling operations, either offshore or onshore Strong understanding of drilling-related contracts (e.g., day rate, turnkey, integrated services) Familiarity with industry standards such as API, IADC, and local regulatory frameworks Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadline.
