OverviewWe are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to help inspire the next generation to cycle.In this dynamic role there will be a focus to promote and deliver various active travel initiatives, including but not limited to Bikeability, Learn to Ride training and cycle maintenance workshops. The successful candidate will have experience in working with both groups and with people on a 1:1 basis. The role will involve working in both school based and community based training. There will also be the need to support delivery after school and may involve some weekend working.Key RequirementsYou need to be able to ride a bike and be able to work positively with children and adults. All successful applicants will be required to undertake training to qualify as a 1st4sport Level 2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training. This is a national qualification which will be funded by Telford & Wrekin Council.Applicants will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate these skills to children and adults. You will need the ability to solve problems positively and appropriately whilst delivering target based training.
