You will play a vital role in preparing and serving wholesome, homemade meals that meet nutritional needs and bring comfort and enjoyment to Residents daily.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve wholesome, homemade mealsMaintain high standards of food safety and kitchen practiceContribute to menu planning with creativity and attention to nutritionProvide a caring, team-focused approach reflecting HC-One valuesAbout YouYou will be an experienced cook with a recognised qualification, holding an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, along with a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate. You should have a sound understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and be confident in maintaining high standards of food safety. You should bring creativity to menu planning, pride in presenting nutritious and appealing dishes, and a genuine passion for making mealtimes special for Residents. Above all, you will be a team player with a positive attitude and a caring approach that reflects HC-One values.SafeguardingSafeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and to undertake additional training as appropriate.
