The role As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering cutting‑edge supportability solutions for one of the UK’s most advanced naval programmes. This is your chance to make a real impact, helping ensure the reliability and sustainability of critical defence assets while developing your own expertise in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Day‑to‑day, you’ll carry out a varied key role, working in a fast paced environment where you’ll be a vital part in developing Integrated Product Support (IPS) solutions for a new build Warship programme. Conduct availability, reliability, maintainability and sustainability analysis and modelling. Deliver and support Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities for new‑build warships. Collaborate with partners, customers and internal teams to produce IPS artefacts and deliverables. Provide technical input into maintenance schedules and spares planning. Ensure compliance with S-Series standards and programme requirements. This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. Essential experience of the Mechanical Engineer Prior experience in mechanical engineering. Operated at Engineer level with expertise in IPS and supportability. Knowledge of S-Series standards and ARM modelling software. Strong communication skills - customer‑facing experience is beneficial. Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer NVQ Level 3 qualified or above in electrical or mechanical Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
