**JOB- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer**
**LOCATION- Plymouth**
**TERM- Permanent**
**SALARY- £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (plus benefits)**My client manufactures a range of mechanical and electrical solutions within a number of different industries. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work in their office in Plymouth.
**The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes**:
- Mechanical Engineering / 3D design experience
- Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc etc.) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
- Excellent 3D CAD skills (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Revit)
- Ability to work on building service designs and delivering small and large projects effectively
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Be keen to develop with a company long term
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
**The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve**:
- Contribute to the development and growth of the company by identifying opportunities and areas of growth. Ability to maintain and grow client relationships
- Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
- Produce budgets for clients based on their requirements and specifications on time and to budget
- Producing 3D designs using CAD software
- Generating the BOM’s to go with the associated designs
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required for the successful delivery of projects
