About Us At CIPFA, we’re driven by a singular purpose: to transform lives through exceptional public financial management. As a leading international accountancy body, we champion integrity, transparency, and efficiency in the use of public funds. We believe that every pound spent should deliver tangible improvements to public services, creating a better future for individuals and communities worldwide. Join us in shaping a world where public money truly makes a difference. About the Role The Governance & Business Support Executive provides high-level executive and governance support to the CEO, CIPFA Leadership Team (CLT), and the wider organisation. This role combines executive assistance to senior leadership with support for governance meetings and administrative coordination across key internal and external stakeholders. About You We’re recruiting two proactive and reliable Governance & Business Support Executives to join CIPFA’s central team. These roles are key to the smooth running of the Institute — ensuring our governance processes are effective, compliant, and well‑organised, while providing high-quality support to senior leadership. As a Governance & Business Support Executive, you’ll play a vital part in coordinating the work of CIPFA’s Board and Committees, preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining governance records, and ensuring that our decision‑making processes run efficiently and transparently. In addition to governance responsibilities, you’ll provide professional and responsive administrative support to the Chief Executive and Leadership Team, helping to manage priorities and keep organisational operations running seamlessly. What you’ll bring Experience supporting Boards, Committees, or senior executives in a governance or corporate support role. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. Strong writing and minute‑taking skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Confidence managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. What you will get in return In exchange for helping us to make a difference, you will get a host of lovely employee benefits including: Competitive salary Great work life balance through participation in our 4‑day working week pilot (work 4 days, get paid for 5) and hybrid working The opportunity to develop in your HR career through qualifications, coaching and/or involvement in projects Generous pension scheme Health benefits like access to an Employee Assistance Helpline and the ability to join our Health Cash Plan Family friendly benefits like help with childcare fees, and more We know that not all people come from the same background, or think the same – so why should we? At CIPFA, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse group of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want you to feel empowered to bring your best self to work. Please let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process. Please note we will be reviewing applications as they come in and may close the vacancy early, so early application is advised. #J-18808-Ljbffr
