The successful candidate will assist the Care Home Manager in the daily operations of our care home, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality care and support to our residents. About Service: Elm House Elm House supports adults with mid to high functioning Autism, offering person‑centred support from a dedicated, specially trained staff team. We encourage independence and help each individual achieve their personal goals and aspirations. We go above and beyond to help people reach their full potential by supporting them to better understand their Autism, develop coping strategies for anxiety, and build independent living and social awareness skills — empowering them to live successfully in the community. Key Responsibilities Support the Care Home Manager in the overall management of the facility, including staff management, resident care, and administrative tasks. Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of care staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Oversee the assessment, care planning, and implementation of care plans for residents, ensuring their individual needs and preferences are met. Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records, including resident files, staff rosters, and financial documents. Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external stakeholders, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies, promoting a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff. Participate in regular meetings and training sessions, contributing to the continuous professional development of the team. Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in a similar role within the healthcare or social care sector. A relevant qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care and willingness to work toward NVQ Level 5). Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, with a keen attention to detail. A compassionate and caring attitude towards residents, families, and colleagues. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including CQC standards.
