Following our CQC inspection, we have been rated ‘Good’ and have made significant improvements. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those wishing to progress in breast nursing. Applicants must be NMC registered and have experience within surgical and breast care nursing. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team to provide care and support to breast patients primarily in the diagnostic phase of care. Responsibilities Triage referrals into the breast service. Conduct nurse‑led assessments and manage patient care during clinic visits. Perform physical examinations related to presenting complaints within scope of practice. Take comprehensive patient histories appropriate to the clinical situation. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of physiology and pathophysiology of breast conditions. Participate and attend MDT meetings. Undertake follow‑up clinics, telephone clinics, and complete clinical letters. Liaise with GPs and community partners where needed. Person Specification – Essential Criteria Registered Nurse. Degree in Healthcare. Experience in breast care within a surgical or oncology setting or transferable skills. NMC registration and up‑to‑date knowledge of breast nursing practice. Person Specification – Desirable Criteria Masters level education. Advanced skills in history taking and physical examination. Non‑medical prescribing. Surgical practitioner experience with willingness to undertake training as a first assistant in theatre. Oncology CNS experience.
