Campus Maintenance Technician – GEDU Global Education Department: FacilitiesLocation: LeedsContract Type: Permanent About the Role The Campus Maintenance Technician will maintain, install, and refurbish fabric and equipment across the GEDU Global Education UK estates portfolio. The role monitors building condition, undertakes repairs and renovations, and assists Estates and Facilities in planning refurbishment projects. The position requires flexible working and may include travel to other campuses. The work week is 40 hours, covering Monday to Sunday, 7:00 am to 9:30 pm, with occasional out‑of‑hours work as required. Responsibilities Preventative and reactive maintenance of building and equipment Health, safety, and compliance with COSHH and equipment safety Documentation and inventory management of maintenance parts Refurbishment and fit‑out projects across campus sites Travel and flexibility to support campus operations Qualifications and Experience Required 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ, or demonstrated experience to the same standard Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems Manual skills and knowledge of refurbishment techniques Flexible and proactive "can do" attitude Familiarity with COSHH requirements for equipment and chemicals Interpersonal skill and ability to work independently and as part of the facilities team Full, Clean Driving Licence Benefits 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays 1 day extra leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days Workplace pension scheme Tuition reimbursement for career development courses Flexible benefits: Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery, Techscheme, and more Perks@Work discounts platform, wellbeing centre, and more Reward and recognition programme £500 award employee referral scheme Discretionary annual performance bonus Equal Opportunity Statement GBS is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion and providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
