Job Summary Physiotherapy management of patients with chronic pain and development of the Physiotherapy services within the Pain Management Team. Work with other members of the Pain Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to provide a coordinated, effective and efficient service. Assess and manage patients individually or in groups, including those attending for other pain management or interventional therapies. Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of professional activities. Use cognitive‑behavioural skills in the clinical management of patients. Utilise biopsychosocial clinical reasoning skills and evidence‑based knowledge to assess patients with a wide range of medical conditions, impairments, and highly complex presentations. Respond to chronic pain patients’ wide variation of complex physical and cognitive difficulties and learning needs, utilising cognitive‑behavioural skills and specialist autonomous physiotherapy practice within the interdisciplinary team. Work within a stressful and unpredictable environment treating outpatients covering a wide range of musculoskeletal and psychological problems. Participate in delivering and auditing the physiotherapy component of the pain management service. Personal Expectations As part of the Pain Management Team, you may be required to work weekends at multiple sites.
