Support Worker Are you a passionate Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to work in a service based in Leicestershire. Pay Rates: £13.47 per hour Information the Role Successful candidates will be offered 18.5 hours per week, usually over 3 shifts. Afternoon shifts can start from 1pm, running up until 10pm and early shifts start from 7:30am. Candidates must be able to work alternative weekends. What you will be doing Follow the care plans of the individual. Support with domestic tasks – cleaning of the individuals' flats, ironing, preparing snacks, cooking evening meals, supporting tenants with shopping and paying bills. Prepare for the following day with tasks such as packed lunches and ironed clothes. Complete all records for the tenant: daily contact notes, accident/incident forms (ABC). Follow the advice of the CSTL and support workers. Not use a mobile phone during the shift. Use correct moving and handling techniques. Respect the individuals' flats and their belongings. Prepare and cook meals and snacks using fresh food in the flats. Spend allocated time with service users and engage with them following the plans. Support cleaning with tenants and help them make their own meals where suitable. Follow the care needs of the tenant and their reasonable requests. Report any concerns to the appropriate person. Skills & Professional Characteristics needed Soft and kind nature. Good understanding of adults with learning difficulties and mental health. Clear and legible handwriting. Health and safety awareness including moving and handling, food hygiene, and fire awareness.
