Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Specialty Doctor in Gastroenterology. The position will be based at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STHFT). The closing date for applications is 14 December 2025. Qualifications Medical Degree from a recognised UK or overseas university or institution Qualifications required for post – MRCP (equivalent) Full registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practise A minimum of 4 years full‑time postgraduate training (or equivalent on a part‑time basis), with at least 2 years in a specialty training programme in gastroenterology or as a fixed‑term specialty trainee, or equivalent experience and competencies Skills set in line with a Gastroenterology Registrar with evidence of endoscopy training MD, PhD or equivalent Fellowship or equivalent Main Duties The post holder will run and clinically manage new and follow‑up patients in Gastroenterology outpatient clinics for both routine and urgent suspected cancer (USC) pathway patients. The post holder will also perform endoscopic procedures when fully competent; training can be provided in full for endoscopic procedures.
