Asbestos Surveyor and Analyst Apprentice (Level 3) - Life Environmental Services Ltd Join Tiro as an Asbestos Surveyor and Analyst Apprentice (Level 3) at Life Environmental Services Ltd, a leading independent National Environmental Consultancy based in Nottinghamshire. Location: Nottinghamshire – the role is site‑based across Nottingham, the Midlands and the South West of the UK. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 5 pm. Salary: £19,500 – £23,809 per year (dependent on age), with increases upon completion of PCERT qualifications. What will you be doing? Learning both asbestos analysis and surveying through a structured training programme while working on site. Supporting experienced teams in a variety of environments – homes, commercial properties, industrial sites. Co‑ordinating asbestos removal projects and undertaking personal & compliance air testing. Collecting and labeling bulk material samples, completing priority risk assessments, and uploading data following company procedures. Producing accurate certificates and reports. Participating in four‑stage clearance inspections and fibre‑counting. Completing BOHS P402, P403, and P404 qualifications, and further accredited certifications such as P405, P405 Asbestos Surveying Certificate, P402 Asbestos Management Awareness, or P403 Asbestos Project Management. What will you bring? Strong attention to detail, accuracy and accountability. Results‑driven mindset and ability to work quickly under changing on‑site conditions. Commitment to safe working practices, and willingness to learn and follow asbestos industry standards and regulations. Basic practical experience with tools or equipment is a plus. Excellent communication skills – friendly, reliable, self‑motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team. National Windows driving licence, age 20+ and willingness to travel to sites daily. Occasional heavy lifting, working at heights and in confined spaces. Learning & Development The apprenticeship lasts 18 months and includes a minimum of 6 hours per week of off‑job training (virtual lessons, online learning, shadowing, mentoring). You will be mentored by an expert tutor from Tiro and an experienced mentor at Life Environmental Services. Eligibility Applicants must: be over 18, not in full‑time education, live in the UK for three years, have the right to work in the UK, and hold a clean UK driving licence.
