Staff Nurse - Victoria & Albert HDU Join to apply for the Staff Nurse - Victoria & Albert HDU role at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Overview Our High Dependency Unit (HDU) could be the place for you. HDU cares for a variety of patients with complex needs pre and post cardiothoracic surgery as well as providing care for cardiology patients. Kings College Hospital provides tertiary cardiac care and receives cardio‑thoracic patients from across the South East. With our partner organisations we form the cardiovascular network transforming cardiovascular services across the region. We are committed to staff development and education, providing a wide range of resources and an individualised training and development plan for each new staff member. The High Dependency Unit is a fast‑paced level two area with 10 beds that looks after patients immediately post cardiac surgery. Responsibilities On a day‑to‑day basis, you will be providing a high standard of nursing care to the cardiac patients. You will work collaboratively with management, clinical nurse specialists and the wider multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care through various quality improvement initiatives.
