Our client, a leading organisation within the social housing sector , is seeking a motivated and commercially astute professional to join their team in Cosford .Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their career — with a clear progression plan to step into a Commercial Manager role within the next 3–5 years .The Role You'll play a key part in managing the financial performance of social housing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.Working closely with the operational and commercial teams, you'll provide expert cost and contract management support.Responsibilities Oversee the financial and contractual management of social housing projects Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation Manage valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts Negotiate and manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers Provide commercial support and strategic input to project teams Ensure compliance with company and client financial procedures Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (ideally within social housing , refurbishment , or maintenance projects) Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT or NEC) Excellent xsabvtc commercial awareness and negotiation skills Confident communicator, able to build strong internal and external relationships Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying Benefits £50,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) Office-based with optional hybrid working (up to 2 days from home) Structured career path towards Commercial Manager 25 days holiday bank holidays Pension scheme and ongoing professional development
