Solutions Architect – AXP Location: Hybrid – UK – Regular onsite collaboration expected in either Southampton or London (UK). Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum. Travel: To client sites may be required (approx. 1–2 times per week depending on project). Job Description The AXP Solutions Architect is responsible for shaping, designing, and governing customer‑specific solutions built on the Alliants Experience Platform (AXP). This includes functional and technical design, integration architecture, and enhancement patterns, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and aligned to the Alliants product roadmap. Job Responsibilities Client‑Facing Solution Design • Engage directly with clients, lead discovery workshops, translate requirements into AXP‑aligned designs, produce architecture documents (sequence diagrams, data flows, interface contracts, configuration models). AXP Platform Architecture & Enhancements • Design secure, scalable extensions (API, backend, messaging, payments, web & staff apps), align designs with product roadmap, delivery mandate, security regulations and engineering standards, assess feasibility and integration impacts. Integration Architecture • Own architecture for integrations with hospitality systems: PMS (OPERA OHIP, Shiji, StayNTouch), payment providers (Adyen, FreedomPay, TokenEx, Apple Pay, PSP routing), identity/verification, CRM/CDP/SSO and external APIs; ensure mapping, sync flows, error handling, and best practices. Delivery Governance & Technical Leadership • Support project managers in estimating scopes, provide technical oversight, collaborate with engineering leads for quality and readiness, ensure traceability from design to test to release. Platform Quality, Security & Compliance • Ensure solutions comply with ISMS, data privacy, secure‑by‑design, contribute to governance, patterns, guardrails. Stakeholder Communication • Articulate solutions to technical and non‑technical audiences, present decisions, risks, trade‑offs. Continuous Improvement & Innovation • Stay current with hospitality tech, recommend improvements, contribute to internal documentation and accelerators. Job Requirements Essential Qualifications & Experience Strong experience as a Solutions Architect or Technical Lead in SaaS or complex integration environments. Experience designing API‑driven, cloud‑native solutions. Proven ability to lead architecture and discovery sessions with enterprise clients. Experience with at least one of: Customer platforms, Messaging platforms, Payment orchestration, PMS integrations. Strong documentation skills: diagrams, data models, sequence flows, acceptance criteria. Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, scaling SaaS organization with multi‑stream delivery. Desirable Skills Hospitality Tech, Travel, E‑commerce domain experience. Backend stacks (Ruby, Node.js, etc.). Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC. Knowledge of ISO27001, GDPR, PDPL, data residency. Previous involvement in governance or design review boards. The role requires a hands‑on approach, willingness to dive into details, and the ability to operate strategically (architecture, roadmap alignment) and tactically (supporting delivery teams during build and launch).
